help vibram daper????
Ok, My 460 is stripped excep t as I try to remove the timing chain cover there is what I call a vibram daper in from that will not come off. I pulled the large bolt and got the pullys off but this (like an upside down triangle weight) does not seem to want to come off. Help.

Just tap it lightly on the side with a small hammer while pulling on the counter weight with your other hand. You should be able to walk it off the crank like that.

When I tore my 79, 460 down, the counter weight was stuck on it too. I just lightly tapped it with a hammer while pulling on it and it came right loose and slid off the crank.
But yes, the WD-40 is a good idea too.
