One of the first things I did was take the center headrest and throw it in the corner. I don't know who's brain child that was.
I only lost 2" with my 5er. 3K king pin wt.
Look at ranch hand for a low profile tool box. That is what I have and it does not interfere at all.
Amazing that the 6.4 vs 6.7 towing mpgs is about the same.
"About" the same but in fairness the 6.7L has not done the Rockies where the 6.4 was getting 6.5 and 7.5 on some tanks. That was stock of course. The tune and delete did not make that much difference, maybe 1.5 or 2 MPG. But on a good stock run I could get 9.0 on the 6.4 which is almost what the 6.7 gave me Friday. I think the motors might be close and the higher rear axle and the 6 speed gives the 6.7 an advantage. It's almost impossible to get a good read on mileage anyway. Wind is a big varible and of course terraine, quality of fuel and how full you get the tank when filling and then again when refilling. like I said doesn't matter anyway, can't do anything about it.
Where did you measure? I did mine at the very back using the black piece on the bumper. got 3 inches even. I think it was 23 to 26 inches.
The insight has a video port but I haven't used it. I'm under the impression that it only works when in reverse based on the documentation.
If that would work, it at least reduces the number of gadgets you need.
I have a tri-fold cover so I can't see my hitch. I put a piece of tape on the end of the cover when folded that lines to the center of the hitch, and a piece on the the center of the king pin and line the 2 up in rear mirror as backing. Also have a piece on center of tailgate when folded down so as backing up I can line king pin up with it too. Also took center head rest out.
Not much but a hole or two in the pin. I keep it high so I can have a cross bed tool box. I'm looking hard for a low profile box and then I can lower the pin. Problem is my L shaped fuel tank doesn't leave me much room for a box (11 or 11.5 inches), I just haven't been able to find a low profile box that has that low of a bottom. Well, actually I found a couple but they were pretty poor quality.
