Another Rear End Swap Question

Hello all,
I have a 54 F250 and it currently has the Timken rear end with 4.86 gears and I was looking for something a little more highway capable. I'm planning on keeping the 8 lugs and I was reading (Yes I've been trying to read up myself before posting this) about a 57-72 rear axle being a basically bolt in fit. Now, my question is; is this swap only bolt in for the half tons or is it the same deal for the three quarters as well? I currently have a line on a '57 F250 with a Dana 60(?) that I could get cheap. Would this work for me without major work or is there something better or easier to put in?

I have a 53 f250 that I'm doing the same swap with. A Dana 60 from those years is in fact a direct bolt in. However, I'm swapping in an '87 full float positraction Dana 60. It has 3.5" axle tubes so I am using larger u bolts, spring perches, and mounting plates.

Thanks for the help. Looks like I'll get to figure out what all needs to be done to get this dana working (Rear cover was missing, welding may have been started for a derby truck, will need to look closer next time.) The three quarter tons don't get the attention that the half tons do so sometimes it's hard to find 8 lug info.
