I have a rusted out right side of my cab. its a 74 f100 390 4spd 4x4 no a/c.
The doner truck is a 76 f150 460 auto 2wd w a/c.
Wondering if the the auto 2wd cab will be easy to change: petals, floor board for shifters, would the ac from the 460 bolt to the 390? Or would i be stuck with the a/c box for nothing.
I cannot answer about the AC, but the cab swap is pretty easy. I just unhooked the peddles, removed the master cylinder and emergency brake. Had to remove the steering column and the shift linkage. I unplugged all the wiring outside the cab and removed the four bolts holding it on. Prior to this I removed the front clip. The entire ordeal took me 3 hours for one cab.
