My son's 93 F150 5.0 alternator died. Bought Duralast Gold rebuilt at Autozone. Gauge shows great charge when motor is revved but idle speed shows low end of normal. Did I perhaps get a semi-dud? I went through wiring yesterday. All grounds, etc. are clean and good connections
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice.

Quite a few "pissed off" customers have complained about Duralast and the proof in the pudding is that "Limited Lifetime" warranty which really works out to be (in reality) a 1 year warranty or many times just 90 days (from the Automoan website: "Warranties on replacement parts cover the unused portion of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer")
If you want a decent 95 plus amp alternator, try Bosch with a no kidding lifetime warranty, no questions asked.
