On an truck note, and feel free to slap me, but there were a few times during my trip that I ran my EGTs up to 1350*. I didn't stay for any amount of time. I always tried to keep it at 1250* or below, but that was not always possible if I wanted to keep up to a reasonable speed. The truck is running just fine, but I am hoping I didn't take some of the life out of it. the longest I kept it at 1300* was about 10 seconds on one pull. I got stuck in the fast lane by two semis and was trying to get out of the way. Kinda frustrating, but it happened. Ok, go easy on me...LOL
No problem Bryon, I run mine over more then I should! Passing or just letting the cruise get over a hill I've run it up to 1500 for short times, Travis will tell you! LOL

Oh no, you shouldn't have said that. Now it will be your fault when there engines melt. ha ha
For what its worth, I've had the 1600* pyro pegged in my OBS countless times. I think the longest I've run it at 1600*+ was maybe 5-10seconds while racing someone. While towing I've never let it sit much above 1100* though.

Not a chance. Ruby would have to be able to keep up with the SD in order to smoke me out, so I ain't worried. Lol
Thanks for the input guys. These engines are tough for sure. Glenn, I wondered about you first, especially with all the towing you do. I used to hear 1350* was the magic number, but anyways.
Travis, Ruby doesn't even really smoke under WOT, but she's perty darn it!! LOL

pound sign stock injector life. LOL. That'll all be fixed in time I'm sure. A little bit of injector and turbo work will really make the E4OD throw a fit though. I have a truck here waiting for me to do some work on with 238/100 hybrids and an H2E that I just pulled the BTS from and installed a stock 4R100. It's not happy. LOL. He's having me return it to stock though, so it'll be ok.
Some today from our trip down Hwy 67 to the Hill Country
And the best find
That pic reminds me if the last scene in Castaway when Tom Hanks is at the fork in the road... Beautiful country out there, something about it just makes you wanna be there...

Dang you guys!! I need those more than anyone!!! Travis, please deliver to Miller Creek RV Park in Johnson City!! LOL
Trip is going so well!! Got to the campground and it is beautiful!! Missed a meeting with Travis due to being surrounded by women...ah well, we are gonna shoot for Saturday. The truck is doing pretty well. All temps are good and power has been better since I am figuring out how to operate it and push the perimeters. Parked for the next four days and gonna drink a lot of beer, eat BBQ, and sit by the creek. Good times.
