Can anyone tell me if a 1987 Ranger, 2.9 V6 was offered with Fuel injection and Carburated options? I could swear ours is injected.
I'm looking to replace the head gaskets on my son's truck and all the sets I find on Ebay list "naturally aspirated".
Here are two links if someone wouldn't mind taking a look and advising if one of the kits might work for me.

Here's the VIN in case it'll help: 1FTCR10T7HUA64558
I'm use to working on my '82 4.9 l6 so this kinda stuff is not in my brain.
Thanks in advance for your input.
Thanks Gents.
I have a follow up for you.
Do the engines have aluminum heads?
After the freeze plug went, the operator continued to drive until it quit.
Once we made the repair, we had water coming from the muffle and tailpipe.
Cupfuls, not just some misty steam.
Do you think the head(s) may have warped or can I get away with gaskets?
I know there's only one way to know for sure but I have financial considerations.
Thanks again.

Reason: additional info
The 2.9 is notorious for cracked heads. They're especially likely to crack heads when they're overheated. More than likely, your problem is not a bad head gasket at all, but rather a cracked head. Look for cracks on the top-side of the head, near the valve springs. Check out this link for more info on the 2.9: Ford Ranger/Bronco II 2.9 liter Engines
