Thanks! I have heard SO many different stories! Familycar.com said just the 5 foot bed was offered.

You're just gonna have to wait for one. Only the Kansas City plant will be building the SuperCrew, and they won't start ANY production till next week. Let's hope the new Detroit plant will be building them as well when it comes on line (after the first of the year). For right now, it's just regular cab and super cab coming out of the Norfolk plant.

I'm going to have to disagree with Ken on this one - at least for the '04 model year, I believe the only bed length available with the Supercrew will be 5 1/2' (about 67", actually). This is what the Ford officials I've talked to have said, and what Ford lists on their corporate website.

However, they might be planning to add a model with a longer bed for '05, or perhaps as a late-year '04 addition. Or, it might just be that Ford's internal communication isn't all that good - wouldn't be the first time THAT happened.

Wanted to add: I just looked at Ford's press release (listed on this site, under industry news) on the '04 F150 pricing, and if you scroll down you'll see that Ford only lists one wheelbase available for the Supercrew. So, unless Ford is going to build both bed lengths on the same (139") wheelbase - which is very unlikely - it would appear that there will only be one bed length available for the 2004 Supercrew.

I agree with LK. From what I have read, including the ordering guide, the only bed length available right now for the supercrew is the 5 1/2 foot. The supercab is now available for the first time in 5 1/2, 6 1/2, or 8 foot beds.

If Ford has done their homework, they will offer a 6.5ft bed with the SuperCrew shortly.

Sure, the SuperCab is a lot larger, but Chevy is selling a lot of 1500HD's because Ford has nothing to offer in this category.

I also read once that the 5 1/2 bed was going to offered first, then later on a larger one would be added.

so far I have read only the 5.5' bed will be on the Supercrew... not the 6.5. Its amazing the difference an extra foot in the beds give. I really would like a new 04 f-150 supercrew but not with a 5.5' bed. After seeing both the Supercab and supercrew side by side i am disappointed. I have heard that the Supercrew will be coming out with a 6.5' bed next year for 05 but i dont want to weight that long.... however I just may since no lift kits will be out till then anyhow.
