It is possible. If you want it to look functional as well, you will need to have the linkage hooked up, so you will need to block airflow through the end carbs somehow. Or maybe progressive linkage can be setup so they simply don't open.
Which intake is it?
Given an earlier post of yours about the performance of the engine, I would not do this until that issue is resolved. I'm fairly certain that the carburetor for the 3 x 2 will be even smaller than the one you have now. So if it is sluggish now, it might get worse with that.

Its a Edelbrock, nice condition, just gathering dust.
Im not so sure I have a engine problem. It idles smooth, doesn't miss or sputter, holds rpm well.
Its a 135hp engine in a heavy truck with I think 3.10 gears and a automatic tranny.
Im debating on a set of Speedway headers and dual exhaust or just dropping in a 351 and a C4.
The Y block is growing on me, it has a classic simple look to it, but its also a lot of work to get any horsepower out of it compared to a SBF.

For the Edelbrock, you want either the 553 or 573. The 553 will have smaller ports which may actually help you for low end torque. The 573 will have the large ports, which should match those on your heads. Either one of these will be great on a stock and even modified motor. The 573 is about the best 3 x 2 intake there is.
The other Edelbrock is the 354, I think. It will have the smallest ports but they are so different than your heads that you won't have much luck getting it to seal. If the price is good enough, you might try to resell it but it will be no good to you.
By the way, if it is a 573 and you decide you don't want it, I'm interested.

There are quite a few. In the following link is all sorts of useful info but towards the bottom is "parts to look for"
Y
And as far as vintage speed parts, pretty much anything.
If you really want to get involved with the Y, got to y-blocksforever and search for all of the dyno tests. Ted Eaton has done numerous tests for intakes, heads, carburetors, exhaust headers and manifolds.
