ebrake disconnect

Anyone know how to disconnect the ebrake cable from the rear calipers ? I can't get the retainer clip pressed down to get the cable off.

I f it the style im thinking I just use a box end of a wrench to press them down

I think you have to turn it a quarter turn to get it out of there.

They are a pain in the rear! Use a flat(slot for the purists!) blade screw driver and bend tabs down. When you reinstall the cable, gentle bend tabs up.

I never had any luck using the wrench method.

And the one that always hangs you up is the bottom on you can't see.lol. they suck.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was able to just back off the adjusters enough to use bolts through the caliper cradle bolt holes to push the rotors off. Ended up being pretty simple after that.
