Hello all. I am a firefighter for a volunteer department in Kansas. I was pointed in this direction by a fellow in California...Notmeofficer...as a place to find what I am needing and NumberDummy was who to talk to.

We have a '79 F600 370 2V 4spd 4x4 truck that sheared the retaining bolts from the drum brake on the back of the transfer case. I spoke with the fellow working on it this morning and he said the yoke is actually OK and the shoe is hanging in place just need to replace the drum as it is probably laying in a pasture somewhere in our county. Seeing as we respond with a single guy on the truck quite frequently, we would like to get the brake working instead of relying on a conveniently placed tree, or doing the wheel chock Olympics in bunker gear.

I need a part number, and if possible, a source for the replacement drum. In the mean time, he is searching to see if a drum from a 2WD truck/grain truck might work. Used or new as long as it works.

I can supply any other data that might be needed....ie model numbers for transfer case and VIN if needed.
