zf5 brake

zf5 brake
Well after converting my truck from auto to stick i decided for parking breaks to get the zf5 brake assembly, i bought one but there aint no way it is bolting up....anyone got an idea?

It bolts to a 4x4 ZF-5 in place of the transfer case... Is your ZF 2wd or 4x4? If it's a 2wd transmission it won't work.

as said, to use a drive line brake assembly, you need a 4X4 transmission. it bolts to the tail shaft of the trans where the transfer case adapter bolts.
it will not work on a 2 wheel drive trans.

So why do you need to add a parking brake? If you let us know what you're trying to do you might get some helpfull suggestions.

If it is 2wd then it should already have parking brakes.
