Super duty in floodwater

Not sure I could have been so confident in my truck, lot of things could have went bad here. Looks impressive on film and I'm sure Ford loved it. The guy in the car is nuts, he should have known he would never have a chance.

Don't try this in an F-150 (unless it happens to have the 6.2L with the alternator on top)

A 2015 F150 would be perfectly fine... with all that aluminum it'll float just like a jon boat

Probably two things prevented that Super Duty from spinning around helplessly like the old Sunfire...weight, and ground clearance. Presumably the water was flowing perpendicular across the road, and could pass under the truck...combined with more weight to prevent it from moving as easily. The Sunfire was low and acted as a broadside sail. Even if the current hadn't spun him around, his engine air intake would have sucked in plenty of water and stalled the engine.
