Changing rear suspension

I have a 2011 cc dually with the fx4 package. I have the opportunity to get a set of stock leaf springs from an 05-07 350 srw fx4 for free (he's lifting the truck). Does anyone know if they're interchangeable?

Thanks.

I believe the answer is no. I think Ford went with a 3" wide leaf in 08+ vs the 2.5" leafs prior. Honestly, if you are looking for more capacity, and not doing airbags, get the Procomp 4-leaf system. It will also give you alittle more rake.

You can see the two additional leafs it adds to each side, they are directly above the very bottom leaf. (the thinner ones)

here is the review I posted years ago on mine:

Not looking for more capacity but try to get rid of the sag without spending the money on bags. I put a 2k lb pallet of feed in the back of my dually and it drops several inches. Put the same pallet in my dad's '05 f350 srw and it barely moves. I have free access to the eaf springs and thought I wogive it a try. The extra stiffness wont bother me as I used to have an '05 that I drove for years

The leaf springs are the same width. The length changed for 2008+

I have had air bags on my last two tow vehicles (04 superduty and 12 superduty) and I really prefer them to just springs. I think the ride stabillity is far superior. I really don't want a tow vehicle without them.

I've been pricing a viair system and firestone air bags. I founda viair 10007 system with a 2.5gal tank, solenoid, wiring harness, pressure gauge, and an assortment of other fittings and hoses for $360 on Amazon. Other than the air bags and mounting hardware/brackets what else do I need? I would like one line to be dedicated to my air bags and another air line be dedicated for a hose to air up tires

you need some valve to control the air into the airbags. I have to finish my setup the way you suggest.

I use a Wireless One controller from Airlift for the airbags, and that kit comes with a little compressor of its own. you can use a feed from an OBA system instead, BUT must put a valve between them to take the OBA line pressure off the Airlift controller (so airlift says). then you use the power to their pump as the power to the valve.
