Does anyone know what it takes to change an AC compressor on my 2004 F350 with a 6.0? I was told by a radiator shop the engine had to get lifted off the mounts.

I did mine without lifting the engine. 2 of the 3 bolts are hard to get out and you have to put them on the compressor before you slide it back in. I used silicone to hold them in to get them started. And the belt tensioner, forget about it. It's easier to just loosen the alternator to get the belt off.

Edit: I also went through the passenger fender well. Take it off and you should be able to access everything. Mine is an 06 F-250 BTW. Should pretty much be the same though.
