I have a 2010 ford f-150. My fuel door swings loose and the cover came off on the highway. Any idea on where I can get another one? I need to replace the whole thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.
The loose swing is probably an issue with the spring/plastic pin. I just had to fix this on my 09, and followed the instructions here (apologies for linking to That Other Site...): 09-13 fuel door cover spring repair - F150online Forums
In my case, the hinge/pin assembly slid up about an inch, which caused the door to not fully open or close. If your door is completely loose, it's possible the spring broke or the plastic fractured. This will likely necessitate replacement.
Tasca and others sell the fuel door. Appears the part number is 9L3Z-99405A26-AA. Unfortunately, this is a paint-to-match item... you'll need to find someone who can paint it for you. The way Ford attached the door is silly... surprised more people don't complain about it.
You could also look at one of the billet aluminum doors, if that look is for you.
But I will say that getting the old one out was kind of a beating. After fighting with it for a while I just started cutting little pieces out of it till I could get it out. The new one slipped in pretty easy.
I can post some pics of what i had to do to get the old one out if you want.
