Hi guys, not been on for a while, but hoping to be back in a fat fender very soon, looking to build an f350 dually as a vehicle hauler in the uk, would only need to carry 2500 pounds as it would only be used for older classic british cars, advise needed on the following if can please

want to go modern front ifs and rear live axle with around a 3.5:1 axle

want to go new or used coyote 5.0 and a strong auto trans, or maybe 6060 6 speed

air ride all round

will need to either extend chassis or move rear axle back, would like to run 4 link but not sure its strong enough to take the original dually weights

would like to change from DRW to SRW and run alloy all round to keep weight down

need to keep over all weight as low as possible

 

Ya have yer fun time cut out for you Bud. Sounds like a great project for sure. I have a 66 F350
that you can have. But it will cost about $800.00 to get it to Seattle from here on the
barge. Or ya could come up, put the brake lines on and drive her onto the ferry for around $600.

 

i have a 55 f350 lined up if it doesn't sell before i get back to the US, coming over to america in september for a few weeks, and bringing my 72 Econoline E200, hopefully the f350, plus some of the parts to start building my hauler, back to the uk
