2015 F-350 vs. 2015 F-450

What are the main differences between the F-350 and the F-450?

I see now that you can get the wide track front axle on the F-350 as well.

I know the rear axle on the F450 is different its just huge, as are the brakes. The front axle is an upgrade too but as you said it is also available on the F350. You would have different gear ratios on the 450 as well.

The current F350 DRW has a Dana 80 rear axle and the 2015 F450 has a S130 rear axle, bigger driveshaft and U joints.

Nope - this is on my F350 DRW

BTW, the 19.5" tires cost a bunch more than the smaller sizes, plus I just saw on simpletire.com the other day that they have to charge a FET (Federal Excise Tax) on each tire as well...
Depending on your state, you may pay more for registration and insurance as well.

Basically, at this level the F-350 DRW is optimized for heavy hauling, while the F-450 is optimized for heavy towing.
