I have a 87 F-150 that is not sending power to the Starter Solenoid turn the key and I get nothing (except power to fuel pump, lights…etc, so the only way I can start it is with a screw driver on the Solenoid. I have read through many posts and I can find anything.
I have replaced the Starter Solenoid.
I have made sure the Ignition Actuator is not broken.
I haven't even thought about that, it is difficult to put it in gear. It's automatic, and when I put it in park it shows on the instrument panel between park and reverse.
You replaced the nss, did you test for power at the red-lt blu wires at that switch?
Should have power to one of them key in "start" position regardless of NSS condition/adjustment and should have power to both red-lt blu wires at the NSS key in "Start" position shifter in park and Neutral if the NSS is good and properly adjusted.
If none of the above problem is upstream of the NSS, the ignition switch is bad or out of adjustment.
A working and properly adjusted ignition switch would have power at the red-lt blu wire key in "Start" position.
Some basic testing will lead you to the source of the problem, IMO its faster and easier over running wires adding a start button.

This says something is out of whack. Block the wheels. Disconnect linkage at the transmission and move the lever by hand.
