I have read other threads about wide track options on the F350 and F450 and wished I had known about it to order it on mine.
BUT
I just picked up my truck last night and drove it for the first time.
I don't know what the turning radius is on this truck (F350 CC DRW 4x4), but it will turn far FAR sharper than my 99 SD Supercab 4x4 would ever think of turning.
I did not even get the wheels turned tight against the lock and kept thinking "My God, the front U-Joints have got to be just about to bind point and can't believe that the front end isn't thumping and binding!!!"
So with that - does anyone have the turning radius info for the wide track vs. stock?
I took a look under my truck with the steering up against the lock. It could probably turn even tighter yet if the U-Joints could take it.. I don't need to chance it though..

I don't recall the name or price of the option, but I believe so.

I recall that it had a heavier front spring rate, flairs and of course a wider track.
I believe you also got the 4.30 gear ratio - or that it was required.. I did not need that deep of a gear set. 3.73's are more than deep enough gears for me.
Guys-
I am researching this topic right now. Ford calls it the "High Capacity Trailer Tow Package". It upgrades the rear axle gears to 4.30 as mentioned above.
It replaces the Class 3 front axle with a Class 4 axle. It adds the wheel flares. It ups the trailer capacity from 23200 to 26700 and GCWR goes up by 4500 (in 2015). It has also been called Tow Boss in some years.
I know the Tow Boss pkg has been available on other years but not every year. You can see the tow ratings and evidence of the Tow Boss pkg on the Towing Guide for each year but it doesn't tell you what parts got upgraded.
I think the turning circle went from about 55 ft to 50 ft with the wide track. If I could get the wide track front end with 3.73 gears, I think that would be the best.
