well I hope my wife doesn't kill me and hide my body out in the woods!
I bought another JEEP today!
1953 all original.
needs the engine re built as it burns some oil, the owner didn't want to mess with it so he sold it to me for $100.00.
I was over at my parents Saturday, I have a few vehicles stored there, and an old jeep I bought to get the transmission input shaft out of (sold the shaft for more than I paid for the jeep) happens to be a 53 also, the engine ran like a top when I bought it! quick engine swap and done. it also has a perfect hood so i don't even have to fix the dent on the hood now!
did some searching today, junkyard 53, no motor, trans or axles $2500.00
restored up to 30,000.00
this one is 100% original minus the radios (it was a communications jeep) no holes drilled in dash nothing *******ized and all the brass tags are still on the dash.
