I went a little over 1 turn. It's a lot better that's for sure.
You can tighten that adjustment screw in until the steering wheel won't return to center after making like a (90) degree turns.
It should not hang up going back to center. Just keep doing an 1/8-1/4 turn until play free.

Thanks, I appreciate your help. going to try and take it somewhere tomorrow. It seems to want to wander a lot and the bushings look good, plus I managed to take the play out of the steering by turning the adjuster on the steering box. So guess, it's probably the alignment.
Wander can also come from king pin bushings or the tires themselves.
