You can tighten that adjustment screw in until the steering wheel won't return to center after making like a (90) degree turns.
It should not hang up going back to center. Just keep doing an 1/8-1/4 turn until play free.

Hmm, maybe I'll try it again and go more then. It could use less.

You'll know when you gone to far, but just keep test driving it as you adjust it for the best feel of how it handles.

I rock the wheel back & fourth un till no play then test drive and go from there calling it good and recheck lock nut. Then happy motoring

Wander can also come from king pin bushings or the tires themselves.

Also could come from thinking about the date you may have had that lasted all night.
