IS THE "NEW" TRANS THE SAME YEAR MODEL AS THE OLD ONE? THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THE SUN SHELL THAT THE TSS READS AND THEY EACH HAVE DIFFERENT PULSES PER REVOLUTION. Ok I can stop yelling now.

After researching the vin of new trans/truck they r 1 year difference. Old trans from 04, new trans 03! I also took my old front speed sensor out of the old trans and placed it in new one, same location. Could this be the problem and HOW do I fix it?

You have to take your old trans and new trans apart and swap the reverse sun shell.

I no longer have my old transmission, it was turned in as core. The new trans has warranty, will i have to drop it and return it? Is this the cause of the trans not shifting at all?

Yep you will need to return it and get the correct trans.

Hi folks, I know this is an old thread....I am having the same questions but this time is reversed....

Would 4r75e an 06 expedition would work with my 2004 equipped with 4r75w?? I am getting conflicting opinions regarding the "E" uses a sensor call the turbine shaft sensor and critical it is used or will not shift....does this sounds correct?
