I also own a 1990 Bronco. It has a 6" superlift and 35" BFG. It never rubbed on me before. I will run the 6" with 37" set-up. I will let you all know how it turns out when it's done. It should be done around the end of September. I really appreciate all the help you guys have provided me with.

Overkill: I was looking at the picture of the 6'' lift with 37" tires and it looks like the wheel wells are cut out with flares, will it still be tight with that setup??

Still looking,
Lenny

Lenny,

Those are actually Bushwacker OE flairs and not cut outs. They just appear larger on this truck due to the black on white. I actually have a customer who is running PJ 38s on 12" wide wheels with an Edge 6" lift with Bushwacker cutouts. Here is a look:

Don't get me wrong, 37 will clear with a 6" lift. However you should expect some rubbing issues. I just like being realistic with people (customers) about what they should expect.

Truck looks good. But again, it is the combination that makes it possible. The SSRs run on the small side and the ProComp springs don't articulate much so it works. I ran Goodyear 37 MTs on my X with a ProComp 6" with minor rubbing and my kidneys can attest to the limited wheel travel. But it all comes down to personal preference. Some guys like to stuff the wheelwells, while others like to have room for wheel travel.

Another big consideration..... Almost invariably everyone soon wishes then had gone with the next increment up from whatever they installed. In other words, the guys who go with 4" later wish they went with 6". The guys with 6" wish they went with 8". Etc...

It's like beer. You start with a couple and before you know it it's a case.
