The engine rebuild saga continues

I have been posting on here for the last month about my 79 F250 and it's smokey 400m motor. I did the compression test and found that #5 was very low. I was originally going to buy a long block from autozone but after reading the horrible reviews I decided to do a rebuild. I know nothing about rebuilding a motor and don't have the tools either. So I was pointed in the direction of a local guy. He has worked for FORD for 25 years and has built lots of motors. After talking with him he lets me know he isn't interested in rebuilding my motor but can get me a long block at his cost..............So I am now waiting to see what happens. He seems to think my motor has a broke piston. I don't know if he is being serious or just blowing me off. All I know is that my truck smokes so bad that the lady in the McDonalds window last night asked if my truck was on fire..............LOL! It is just becoming frustrating because I have the $$$$ just lack the tools and know how.......
