Cruising down the highway at 65-70mph, or on the secondary highway around 55-60ish, my truck will cut out as if the IVS is triggered momentarily and then comes right back. I have a genisys scanner, no codes anywhere, other than a key in ignition code. I unplugged the key in deal inside the column, so thats expected. My fuel pump was making noise for the last 4 months, pressure was low, so I replaced it, but didn't solve anything. My Icp had oil in it, so replaced it. Swapped my gray CPS for my black spare. couple weeks later finally got a code for the IPR. Replaced it too. Tried two TPS's from the junk yard. No dice. I watched live data for several miles, while acting up, and nothing changes. I am at a loss here, what should I be checking next? Oh yeah, it only seems to happen after five…my buddies kid told me tho change the clock…why not, nothing else is helping. Too bad that didn't help either.

It's amazing what we will resort to out of desperation.
Fighting similar symptoms myself right now. More intermittent and random for me. Not gonna throw my NIB black CPS at it yet tho.
Cleaning the grounds and power supply for the PCM is a good start. Ground is high on the firewall driver side and the power supply splice on the DS wheel well just behind the air cleaner. Plus the usual suspect spot, the harness rubbing and shorting at the VC on the way to the 42 pin connector.
The 42 pin connector made sense, because it seems to be all of the cylinders, not just one bank or the other. I checked all that anyway, but after reading about it here a couple years ago, I bought hyd. hose protectors from Napa and zip tied them on both the VC and at the frames a preventative measure. I will go out and check the power supply splice and ground right now.
You mentioned watching live data that did not change while it acted up. What data did you watch?
Not sure about your '00, but on my '02 there are relays under the dash to power the blower, IDM and PCM. I tried swapping them around with no luck, might try new ones just since they are cheap.
Edit: you ever get any dash lights? When mine skips just a cylinder or two I get no lights, but when a full second or two goes by I see WIF and CEL. Then they go away without any codes.
I watched fuel pulse width, the ipr/ipc duty cycle and voltage mostly, but I had thirty miles of it acting up really bad, so I watched every thing for a while. The tach would drop, as well as the boost, but there's no telling if that came as a result or is a symptom. No lights on the dash, even when it was at its worst. Today though, it seemed that I would hit a bump in the road, and it would run great, hit another and it would feel like I was pulling a trailer. When mine cuts out, it is never a full second, its just gone and back. I will swap some relays and see what happens. I checked with the scanner this afternoon, and still only the key in ignition code. The local parts store loaned me a new TPS that I just installed, and will see how it runs, but I'm not really hopeful. They will take it back as long as it looks like it did coming out of the box. Have you been watching any sort of data or getting any codes off your truck?
Here's a new thing that might be of some significance, engine doesn't cut out while in cruise control. Cancel cruise control and symptoms are instantly back.

Kinda freaky. That points to TPS since the CC would circumvent that, but you already tried a couple boneyard parts, right? Did you install the new TPS yet?
You also mentioned bumps affecting it. At idle go around the motor give the harnesses a wiggle and poke, might find your suspect. Wiggle the fuses. I don't fancy getting on top of a running engine so I found a thin light stick to probe the wires around the front like the CPS. Less of a hazard if it is snagged by the serp belt or fan. Still hazardous, I don't recommend anyone do that. Just saying what I did.
What are the RPMs when it cuts out? Any engine speed or just over 2k?
I tried the new TPS to no avail…gotta love parts stores that take care of their customers like that. My scanner also shows the Idle Validation Switch, but with my problem being quick, maybe the refresh rate is too slow? When it cuts out, it is at any speed when I am trying to maintain speed, rarely when trying to accelerate, never decelerating.
I got just the TPS, and I will try the contact cleaner. I think I tried that before, but its been a while and maybe I just think I did. This is just weird symptoms, with all the usual suspects ruled out…I would think I would have some sort of code pointing me to something.
Well, the contact cleaner worked for most of a day it seemed, but eventually my troubles came back. The weather has been very wet and cooler. I don't know if it is related or not, but it was a little colder yesterday morning, I fired up the truck, and one cylinder was not firing. No smoke of any color. I shut the truck off, started it and same thing, it was like one cylinder was dead. Ran motor about 10 seconds and it came to life. Did not have that issue this morning. I know for sure these injectors have been in here since 102,000mi., truck is near 260,000mi., and it is unlikely they have been replaced. I have been thinking it is about time to throw some sticks in it, but it still starts easily, and very little romp at startup, even last winter at -20*f temps.
