Truck over heating
I've got an 86 F150 302, that is overheating. I've put in a new T-stat and gasket, new radiator hoses, and a new water pump. It is still overheating. Anyone have any idea's or thoughts on this? Am i do for a new radiator or is there something i could be missing? Your help would be great.

Are you going by the dash gauge? If so you are being mis-led, get a real thermometer and check it yourself. If it's above 210 then you can panic. As long as your gauge is not reading on the red line at the H you're okay.

After doing all that. The first thing I would worry about would be cracked or blown head gasket. Also, I've hear quite a bit about the radiator not being so great on certain ford trucks. I' m not sure about yours though.Hope this helps. Oh yeah, Sure signs of head trouble to look for are water mixed with oil or foam in your radiator. If you find either of these you COULD have problems in the head or gasket POSSIBLY.

The manual guage is reading in the red, i parked it right away so i do not blow the headgasket. Headgasket is ok i have no milky oil and the antifreeze is very clean. I just swapped this engine with one that had a bad headgasket and rings so i do know what signs to look for thank god.
