Acceleration Issues
2003 Ford F250 XLT Super Duty - Acceleration Issue
83K miles. Purchased 3 months ago.
Recently when we hit about 1800 RPMs to about 2600 RPMs the truck hesitates and makes a woosh sound in the engine. Additionally, when holding speed, the normal whistle gets a bit higher pitched and then drops down every 2.5 seconds.
There is also a point where the normal whistle becomes a dull tone.
Has happened two days now, first a couple months ago and then yesterday/today. Both times it was raining.. possibly coincidence.
Please no "Thats what you get for buying a 6L" or "buy a new truck" posts.
Any input is appreciated.

Sounds like one of the CAC tubes has a split in it...... what was your boost gauge doing at that time? The vidio didn't go low enough to see it.

Veins sticking from coking or rust. Good cleaning should help

like blade35 said you need to check the sensors that operate the turbo. and like bobcat said the turbo probably needs cleaned, and that info can be found in the tech. folder
you probably have the inferred EBPV as i do so that sensor value cant be used.

You can use a DVM
D igital V olt M eter
But you would need to study each sensor and have a Wire Diagram
Its going to be a LONG Process this way^^ AutoZone sells ScanGaugeII
Tell me this Do your Veins Sweep at Idle?? Its a Change in the exhaust Tone every 1 minute or so
