Ken, to be honest, I'm not a "Blue" lover myself.

Frankly, I only like the color of my truck for the simple fact it wasn't an OEM color. It had been repainted (Rather ****tily) at some point.

As for the color of your truck...

I LOVE the colors you posted. What about the 1950's color of green you could get on the chevy bel airs? Not sure of the color specifically.

Side Note:

Ken, you mentioned a meet up at your place sometime soon? As it stands, I'm working Sat/Sun every weekend now, from 7pm-7am. I can make a meet, most definantly on either of those days. Week days are wide open for me also.

Unless you'd rather we just meet up somewhere else. Which is find also.

Just would like to eeek out a meet sometime this year.

The Chevy "Neptune Green" is a little darker than the truck from Texas. I think it has a little more blue hue to it. Not bad looking but I wanted to go on the lighter side.

We're pretty much booked up on weekends for the rest of the world. It would have to be on a Sunday afternoon like last time. But that seems to be when we always meet anyway. I'm still thinking sometime in late September.

That's fine.

My schedule looks like this:

Saturday/ Sundays are booked after 6pm. (I work 7pm-7am)
9-2-2014- I have an interview with Amazon in Winchester
9-4-2014- I'm predisposed with the G/F, as it's our 1 year anniversary.
9-17-2014-Possible Jury Duty. Won't know anything til later.

September 21 we have a picnic for a local church, so that Sunday would be out.

September 14 or 28 would be easiest for me. There will be people here the 28th, but not at the cabin we ate in last year. We could use the shooting ranges the 14th, but not the 28th. If we want to go that route. If someone wants to jump off the rappelling tower we could do it either day.

Any thoughts?

The 14th is definitely out for me. And I'm not too sure about the 28th.

Given my work schedule, etc it looks like Sundays are out for me too.

If the meet were closer to me, I could swing it. BUt atm I'd literally be driving down there to arrive at say, noon, staying til about 4 and then heading to work...Maybe even sooner than that.

We'll figure something out though.

I'll be at Gravelrama in Cleves, Ohio if the rain holds off. Will know more by dawn.

I just bought the complete interior of a 95 crew cab and some doors off it. I have the option to buy the complete cab. Didn't know that until after we went back to his house. I have no idea what the underside looks like rust wise.
I also bought a Sony CD player from him and he installed it in his driveway.. I installed new speakers last spring but never did anything with the old stock am fm cassette.

I also bought an overhead console from a custommized f350. Oak full length with the cb radio and auxillary switches all ready to go..
So after all I bought He then offers me the whole thing for a few bucks more. How hard is a cab swap, that is if the underneath of it ain't trashed.

He also has an 1988 460 and C6 sitting in his garage for cheap $600 for the pair I believe.

City Zoning will not be impressed with a crew cab sitting in my yard. I was just going to replace the interior in my truck but this cab looks solid from what I noticed when I was there to look at the interior. My cab has been hit prior to my ownership and once when it got sucker punched from my J20 last summer. So my door pillar got tweaked but things still work its just the doors are crumpled in a couple of spots. I'm thinking a cab replacement would be nice. I don't think it was a dually though and I have questions about the VIN it would have in the door jam. Not that mine has one now I guess it got removed before me when the truck got repainted. Where were those at ? lower, middle of door post ?.

Anyone want to buy a cab for cheap? Anyone want to help? It may be loaded up this Monday depending on the weather. If not it will have to wait until he returns 9/2/14.

A rollback would be nice for this move. Any suggestion there?
OR
I may just go gut the interior and doors and call it good.

Then again I may have an alternative plan. That puppy should fit onto my cheapo Harbor Freight 8' trailer. I can drag the whole lot to storage and leave it and drag it home when I am swapping stuff. Got a Jeep cab on it now though.

What to do what to do..........
Sorry guys.

Hey there Hoot. Nice to see you around. Won't be at Gravelrama tomorrow. St. Anthony has their school picnic tomorrow, so I'll be there. Just wish it was cooler and less humid though.

Sorry I'm of no help to you whatsoever, Hoot.

A cab swap on my '53 would take less than four hours. With your miles of wires and hoses and linkages, I have no idea.

Glad to hear from you though. It sounds like you've made quite the haul, even if you don't go for the whole cab.

I used my buddy's car hauler , my winch and a couple of dollies , loaded it up and dropped it off at his Mom and Dad's place, about 10 miles away, for a couple of days.

I'm thinking the floor pans are different between the two cabs. Carpet kits call out 2 different ones auto or manual and mention a high hump on the auto's.
The shop up the street wants about $2500 to swap cabs for me. I'm thinking it don't need that done right now. Maybe later when I pull the bed, if I still have the cab. It did look pretty clean underneath.

So for a craigslist call looking for front door panels, I got a very nice complete gray interior with the 40/20/40 front seat and rear bench, every little trim piece in the cab with full dash and steering wheel. Wiper motor and arms, brake booster, heater box, engine harness, the whole complete cab assembly with doors, Lund roof brow, a nice old light bar, Sony am/fm CD (installed into my F350), over head console with CB included, louvered headache rack, and a roll up tonnea cover

Not bad for a Saturday curiosity check..
Now to figure who to buy new carpet from and what color. I'm thinking charcoal, maybe blue. I have the complete gray interior in my truck now and it is overwhelming all gray. I would like to mix it up a bit , maybe dye some of the trim to break up the gray. I'll most likely paint the overhead console instead of the oak finish on it now. Unless I find more matching oak trim.
I can hook up my Sirius radio now also... ROADTRIPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!

My old beater F350 is finally getting some love .

By the way I'm thinking of going to KOA Asheville East Sept 12th weekend. Got a free stay to use up and some Jeep parts to get from near there. Anyone else up for it. They have a fishing lake there.
