Fuel Questions

I bought a 92 F-150 with out an engine. I just put a 94 302 in it and it turns over but will not start. I don't hear the fuel pumps running and the fuel reset light is on in the dash (???). My problem is I can't find the fuel cut-off switch. The book says it is on the drivers side under the dash left of the brake pedal, but thing is there.

two questions

1. Could the cut-off switch in be in another location?

2. Is the fuel reset light telling me to reset the cut-off switch?

Any help at this point would be ahelp.

That's the old ('84-87) location. Yours is inside the passenger kick panel. You might be able to reset it without removing the panel, but it's easy to put the panel back on.

What book are you using? This link takes you to Chilton's, but a Haynes manual or the Ford/Helm service CD (~$10 delivered off eBay) is MUCH better.
