Morning everyone. I hope your week is going well.
It is so strange not having my minion here. She brings such joy and light to the house that it feels so empty without her.
I am now in the hunt for a 300 i6 that I can rebuild and swap into my truck. I have decided that new seals is just not going to get the job done to my satisfaction. I can't have the truck down for the time it takes to rebuild with all the machine shop work and then ordering of parts. Now the idea is to find one and rebuild it and just swap them out. I want a stock carburated motor, nothing fancy. Local craigslist so far has come up empty. If anyone runs across something, let me know.
You could squeeze it onto one of your trailer hauls. I don't think the bike would mind
I can take the wife's Santa Fe to pick one up if it was cheap enough.
Sold my trailer to pay rent. So now I am trying to sell the F350 so I can pay rent, and buy a 89-92 Ford Ranger. Maybe do some ATV or motorcycle hauls with it. Problem is, nobody wants to buy my F350.
Same here, even getting hauls on U-Ship didn't work, because I could not win enough bids to make rent payments. I needed at least two a week, and was lucky to get two a month. And when I had two flat tires on the last trip, I decided the Lord was telling me something, so I put the trailer and truck up for sale, but so far, only the trailer has sold. Anyway, I am good on rent for the next two months, after that, I don't know.
Good Afternoon Nevada Gang.
Jim sorry to hear of your misfortunes.
Just returned from Hawthorne, NV. Had a nice time. The Crown Vic ran flawless, got an avg of 21 mpg.
My buddy Jim & I celebrated his 70th birthday for two days. First day we went to Fallon & I bought him dinner & he missed the 15K jackpot but walked out a few hundred ahead. Then the next day we took his 01 Crown Vic to Carson City. Stopped & visited Jim @ Super Sport Motors. It was good to visit with him. It had been awhile since seeing him. Then on to the Fandango, for two free dinners & cake. Jim hit a $50 keno ticket. So the trip was paid in full.
The weather was just lovely. Got to see a couple of other friends in Hawthorne.
So a fun trip.
Vici & I will return in November on our way to Reno for Thanksgiving with her family.
Bruce, your right those scorpion's are a hard pet to maintain.
I hope that you had a great weekend. It feels good to have a 3 day wknd! Ofcourses, I work Tuesday again, then off for my birthday & truck maintenance on Wednesday, then back to work Thursday & Friday. I can tell that this next week is going yo screw me all up on my days. LOL
We're all doing good here, job's great, kids great, & the puppies are lil' fluff ***** that are cutting teeth & chewing on everything. Their eating soft solid good now, but still try to nurse & Brie wants no part of that! I can't blamed her...their tiny teeth are sharp!
Jimmy may have sold the Yamaha Venture to one of my coworkers. We'll know if his loan came through on Tuesday.
Well, time to catch up on sleep. Good night everyone.
