yup.. sure did... even in the small town of Steubenville we had an air raid siren... they still periodically test it too.. sits on top of the fire house... they use to make ordinance there in the mill...

yeah theyve used them for the tornaders too... but last i heard they still have the kids learn drills incase the US comes back into a primary attack...
wouldnt want them ducking and covering lessons to go stagnate now would we???
City and county still have the old civil defense sirens. They are still used for disaster warnings. City tests first monday of every month. Even where I work at we have our own Siren system that is also voice capable. We test ours the first monday of every month at 1300 hours when the city tests their systems.
