So far so good Clint. Working on getting the truck scheduled for maintenance. Otherwise not much going on right now.

How has your day been so far?

Went to the diner this morning with a couple of neighbor guys. Had breakfast and drank coffee till afternoon. Then came home and washed the truck to make it look pretty for our G2G on Sunday.

 

Howdy Rick. Not too bad. Although the 7-11 near my house was turned into a drive thru today. Some guy drove his van through a set of windows near the entrance to it. Took out the majority of the 2 liter bottle of sodas they had as well as the bait fridge and news paper racks. Store was back up and running on my way to work but the floor was still very sticky from all of the soda. How are you doing?

 

Doing good Shaun. Is Clint of to dinner or hiding out?

 

Not sure Rick. He was here then he disappeared. Could have went to dinner for a bit with the wife.

 

Talk about a traffic nightmare.

Too bad about your 7/11. Has the floor dried enough to start collecting shoes? They got the windows back in or is it still a drive thru?

 

It was rather sticky when I was in there because the accident happened about 2-3 hours before I stopped in. They had been able to board up the affected glass wall but it is still a drive thru.

 

In this street view it would be the windows next to the outdoor ice machine and ends where the white truck is parked. Came close to taking out the entrance.

Wow! Probably have been over that stretch of road many times. When I was there in 69/71 many US bombs were found and detonated by the Army in Stuttgart. There were over 9000 bombs dropped on the BMW factory during the war, I m sure many of those didn't blow up.

 

What was the driver thinking?

 

yeah. probably hundreds of thousands of vehicles going right over that and it never went off. That was luck. better to find it now and get rid of it to make the area safer.
Not sure Rick. I had missed when it happened. He had to go over a curb in the parking lot do hit the windows. My guess is the driver must have thought they had the vehicle in a different gear when trying to pull out of the spot of was pulling into a spot and hit the gas instead of the brake.

 

Someone could have been in the line of fire when that car came thru the windows, that wouldn't be good.
