transmission not working

transmission not working
Just changed the filter and transmission fluid on my expedition got about 226xxx miles transmission was slipping prior to the change now that I changed the filter and about 5 qts of dextron v it's not going into gear at all it will only go into reverse!! Help plz any input is great

Are you sure it only take 5qts? That seems like too little. Did you check to see what it is supposed to hold? Also, when warm and in Park, did you check dipstick for proper level? Some check dipstick level while trans is in Neutral, but if doing so, you need to be sure truck's wheels are blocked, parking brake set, and BE CAREFUL!!!

5 quarts isn't enough. And Dexron V is the wrong fluid and might damage the transmission.
I recommend getting the Dexron V out of there and using MERCON V. That is NOT the same as Dexron V.
