Hello, welcome to FTE!

You can get an AOD but I don't know about 5 speed manuals, you might want to try looking in the 300-6 forum or in the tranny forum.

Shambler,
The 300 CID inline six cylinder is one of the oldest designs in Ford inventory.
The 1993 era trucks came with 300's and 5-speeds from the factory.
You need to call some junkyards and get some prices and the cross references for your requirements.

Ranger,
This is a internet scam. Old news. Its run out of africa somehow.
Funny thing is, it actually took some people! Once you had over you account info, they simply empty that sucker out.

I have 88, F150, 4.9 5spd manual O/D Mazda Built trans & It is crap. It eats mainshaft bearings & get extremely hard to shift, especially when cold. It's noisy, can hear bearings swishing.

I don't know what Henry was thinking when he put that set up together. I bought 88 'cause it was so cheap. An SWB Lariat XLT all bells & whistles. I paid $1100 3 years ago. I figured how bad could R&R mainshaft bearings be? Yeah. . . well tho it's a piece of cake to do it, I could almost buy another truck for cost of parts!

I'd give engine + trans + couple hundreds $$ away for a decent 5.0L roller engine & EAOD A/T & do the work my self! That's how much I like my 4.9 EFI I-6 & 5 spd manual O/D.
