explorer with 4.0 has a rough idle, just put new plugs & wires, air filter looks good. i did get a new fuel filter as well but haven't gotten to that yet. any other suggestions? it has 102k. i have read some info about motor mounts could come lose casing the motor move a little more, not sure about that one. its the wife's haven't driven or looked into it yet, its on the to do list weekend just thought someone may have some other ideas before i need to take to the shop.
edit: she also informed that it seems to lose power a little while driving sometimes, thinking possible fuel pump now?
Did it just start doing this after you replaced the plugs and wires, or were the plugs and wires an attempt to fix the rough idle? Did the rough idle just start after some other service was performed (such as changing/checking the air filter)?
Which 4.0L engine is it (SOHC or OHV)? Maybe the 2007 only had one choice? Have you inspected the PCV elbow and checked the intake manifold for a vacuum leak?

Plugs and wires were done 6 months ago. Yes this is new it's been great not a single problem up until this point. No other performance has been preformed. I haven't got to deep in the weeds on it yet going to spend some time this weekend on it so I will look into those thing you mentioned. Thanks.
Can you pull codes and see if you have any stored?
Intake o-rings are a suspect but if they are bad enough to cause a rough idle you usually get a CEL.
no CEL, they way my wife is explaining it to me, and again havent looked at it yet, it sounds like a possible fuel issue to me. my first step is get the fuel filter changed then start going through a check list.
