Fitting 35s

Whats the min lift needed to fit 35-12.5-15 tires on a 88 bronco. Its got the gearing for it 4 10 rpms are still high with 31s. Its factory height. Dunno who would order a bronco new with 4 10 in the first place but whatever i guess.

Depends, how opposed are you to cutting fenders? They can fit with no lift if you want them to, I've done 35's no lift on much smaller trucks but you do have to trim and hammer to get there.

Bronco, F1/2/350 sheet metal is all tha same? Here is 35" tire on a F250 that has sagged to within 3/4" of the rubber bump stops. The tire actually measures 33". The bumper is easily the limiting factor. I don't know how that transfers to your axle and its relation to your bump stop, maybe someone here knows?

And here is the exact same tire (different style but same dimension rim) with about 3" of lift (swapped D50 TTB to a solid D60 and F350 springs) but the biggest contributor to clearance is the aftermarket bumper.

The sheet metal is, but the stock ride height is not. You can fit larger size tires on a stock F250/F350 than you can on a stock F150 or Bronco.

Oh I don't question the ride height difference at all, the axle tubes are different diameters, coil spring perches versus leaf springs, etc. But there has to be a measurement that can be transferred between them like the centerline of the axles to the frame... or similar. I think too many people assume that a F350 can fit more tire than a Bronco...its the same sheet metal, different axles and springs.

Its the axles and springs that make the difference.

Here is what my truck looked like on 35's with a 4" lift.

The tires would rub the bumper valance any time I turned on flat ground. If I hit a bump turning they would hit the metal on the bumper. They also rubbed the radius arms A LOT. Overall horrendous combination.
