Picture #1 is with a new speedo from Mid Fifty and pic #2 is with the original speedo. If you notice the Stars on the new one are barely visible compared to the original.
The originals are about a 1/4" lower. Anyone else buy a new speedo head with this difference?
I have talked to Mid Fifty and they are checking into it.

You're not being too picky, in my opinion. Those stars give it character. Even your high-beam indicator is half covered. Looks like a poorly-made repro.

 

I noticed the color of the speedo needle is not the right red, also.
