Just recently bought a 91 explorer "EB" edition.. Truck is in good condition. Im not familiar with trucks this is my first. I have a question maybe someone can help me with. I have a steep hill entering my driveway when I go down the hill or any deep groove in the parking lot I hear a slight crack noise (usually I am turning the wheel slightly also). Its just one quick noise and thats the only time it does it. A friend mentioned something about a radius arm.. any help would be nice..
thanks in advance

I had the same situation on my 91 Explorer and had to replace the radius arm bushings. Didn't get it soon enough and the wear made arm replacement neccesary too. Only on the right side.
Good news is the replacement parts were made to take the heat on the right side. Seems they put it a little too close to the exhaust and the heat breaks down the rubber. Makes your front end loose in a front to back way. Good luck.
Thanks for the help.. I've been really busy so I still havent been able to have it checked or repaired.. I'll have to post when I have it checked... 2 opinions slightly the same, Im sure your correct.. Thanx again
