Engine Swap
I am putting a 88 model 7.3 out of an ambulance in a 1990 f-350 truck but the motor mounts set the engine way to high. has anyone ever done this. I can't use the mounts off of my motor because it will not clear the oil cooler and the oil cooler off of my motor is a 4 bolt and this one is a three bolt on the 88 model. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS???????? ASAP GOING TO RETURN THE MOTOR TOMORROW

Is the oil cooler the type that goes between the block & filter? You might just delete it. The ambulance probably needed it because of poor engine compartment ventilation & high cooling load, but you should have no problem with the engine set up for normal truck use.
