Hey,
I just joined approx. 23 seconds ago and i was hoping anyone could answer my question.
I have a 2001 Ranger XLT 3.0L with firestone 225/70/15s... and sadly.... it's 2wd
just wanted to know what the biggest tires i could put on able to clear the wells would be without lifting it. and if i did get bigger tires, would i have to deal with any gear ratio changes?
By the Way... Ford said 31/10.5's wouldnt fly. I found BFgoodrich makes a 30/9.5 and was hoping i could rock out with those... help me out here...
Thanks
Dan.

Unless they changed the wheel wells between the 2000 and 2001 model year, then your dealer is full of crap... 31's fit just fine, and will never rub, they just look a tad "forced" into the wheel well. I had 31's on my 2000 4x2 regular cab for about 3 weeks before I put the lift on it to make it look a little more balanced. As long as your wheel wells are the same as a 2000's, they'll fit.
Does that info mean that 30/9.50R15 15x8" w/3.75" backspacing tires and wheel package will fit on my stock '93 Ranger 2wd? I'd guess it does but not sure...
I tried putting 31x 10.50 on my 99 Ranger 3.0 FFV 2WD and the Front rubbed pretty bad. The rear was fine though. I eventually put the 30 x 9.50 on there and honestly they looked much better.
