MISHIMOTO IS HERE!

Not sure if this has been posted but Mishimoto now lists a 6.7L radiator! If anyone gets one lets hear the details. Thankfully I don't have any leaks...yet.

lifetime warranty, increased cooling capacity...worthly of a replacement when needed, if needed.

I'll believe it when I see it in one of our trucks. I just replaced my radiator a month ago, but still glad I did it when I did. I'll try one of these when the stock one starts leaking again. If the quality is similar to their past product's I've uses, this is a no brainer. It will cool better and last longer than the stock one for sure.

It'd be awesome if we could talk Ford into using these instead of just putting the same ole faulty radiator back in, when we discover issues with our OE ones......

ford hasn't acknowledged that there is any issue with the oem radiator, and even if they did they would never approve the use of an aftermarket radiator for oem replacement by a dealer.

I had been in talks with a rep from mishimoto about using my truck as a test mule for this radiator but I guess I was too far away from them and they ended up using an employee's truck. Would have been a much better test in my truck since I tow heavy and long distance so much.

It would also have been the only way I could afford to use their radiator, just can't go for about a grand for a radiator. I'll just have to keep dumping coolant in mine every couple of weeks.

Yeah, the shop where I had my DEF heater/sensor assembly replaced at had a pile of crapped out radiators, none from a 6.7 yet but I'm sure they will soon.

Very interesting video, sounds like that guy is definitely on to something.

I've bought 7, but 5 were for work trucks. I think so far the longest one has gone is 200k miles. The ones I had went around 40k and 85k. I like them a lot.

Mine is in my Mustang. They tend to crack because of flex and the way the radiator is mounted, very similar to the 6.7 trucks. I'll be curious to see how they turn out.

The one I have in there now is 2 years old and maybe 3,000 miles on it without leaks. They added a suspension bracket for the mounts.

Wow...I have zero experience with them in cars. Hopefully the new bracket solves your issue!

So far, so good. It just sucks paying the $30 or whatever each time to get them replaced

I do have to say that they have been really good to deal with when I have had a leaker. They are quick to get a new one out to me.

The 94-95 5.0 has had issues with leaking aluminum radiators with other brands as well. That setup is apparently a real bugger....

Hey guys,

Figured we would chime in here to provide some information about our new radiator for the 6.7L! As many of you know, we currently offer an aluminum performance unit for the 6.4L that has been very successful as an alternative to the failure prone factory units. We are very excited to bring our 6.7L unit to market and our testing shows that this unit will be a fantastic upgrade to the factory plastic unit.

This radiator features very precise CNC machined inlets/outlets coupled to a very efficient core that provides increased size and a more effective fin composition. This radiator is enormous! We are hoping to launch a pre-sale special for those who would like to upgrade now. We should have additional details on this very soon!

Feel free to follow up with any specific questions regarding the 6.7L unit!

Thanks for the kind words! We are getting closer to releasing this product, check out a couple images of our prototype unit installed!

This video provides some great information! The amount of 6.4L owners with radiator issues is quite staggering. Our team recently decided to look further into the radiator design/mounting and the overall cooling system design in an attempt to provide some reasoning for these failures. We were finding that a few of our customers were experiencing multiple failures in a very short period of time while a high majority of other customers were having great success with our radiator installed. After evaluating a 6.4L we came to the conclusion that several factors were impacting the lifespan of the radiator and cooling system.

Check out our blog post below which shows the process our team took to investigate the concerns. This also includes a list of items to check/upgrade prior to installing a new radiator.

Sorry to hear about the issues you had with our Mustang radiator. Our initial product design emulated the factory radiators mounting points. Soon after release we started to notice a trend in failures and decided the issue required further investigation. We found that this issue was not isolated to our radiator, but was also occurring with the factory radiator as well as other aftermarket units.

We brought in a few test vehicles and found that the torque created by the V8 (5.0L and modular) was creating quite a bit of flex in the chassis. This was apparent in both stock and modified examples. Without any additional frame or chassis stiffening, the flex was transferring into the radiator support and twisting this unit. Because of the factory mounting design, this flex was then transferred to the radiator which would cause frequent failures at various points on the core and end-tank joints.

Our team worked to develop a patented floating bracket system for the radiator which utilized metal brackets and rubber bushings to isolate the radiator from the core support and frame. After thoroughly testing and evaluating the design we were able to release a brand new radiator design that eliminates the impact of chassis flex on the radiator.

Great to hear you are having success with our updated unit!
