I've been active on here before, a long time ago under a different name; I can't remember it now though and don't have access to that email address. I've got a 77 Ford F250 4x4 that I have had since I turned 16. It has a 460, C6, NP205, Dana 44, and Dana 60. I've put quite a bit of work into it, though unfortunately it was all on a high school kids budget so the new paint and interior aren't that great. Unfortunately the truck hasn't been on the street since I had a catastrophic rear wheel bearing failure back in 2007. I replaced the rear end but just never got around to replacing the brakes on the new axle and don't want to put it on the road with questionable brakes. I bought a house with a garage about a year ago and have saved up a little money since then, so I'm itching to start working on the truck.
My future plans include an eventual full restoration, but my focus right now is getting rid of the 460 and auto and swapping in a 300 six and 4-speed. I'll keep the engine simple at first and just run a 4bbl carb, but I plan on adding a turbo and electronic dual fuel (gasoline/propane) injection eventually. I also plan on adding an AA Ranger II overdrive in front of the 4-speed to bring my fuel mileage up when cruising down the freeway.
