1979 302 issues
I have a 1979 thunderbird with a 302 ci motor and 2bbl carb and intake(factory setup). I went to take the car out for a cruise and when I would try to accelerate it would act like it was running out of gas then it would come out of it, take off and run fine also does this power braking. Any ideas are welcome!!!

Could be retarded timing or a problem with the accelerator pump circuit on the carb. Also on this vintage 302, it's worth taking a look at the block casting numbers for future reference. The D8VE-6015-A3A casting is the same as a Mex/289 Hipo block.
