Front Axle and Rear Diffential Conversion on My F4
Well folks, the conversion to 1976 Dodge motorhome running gear is progressing very well on my F4. Adapter plates have been made to attach stock leaf front springs to Dodge axle spring pads. Front spring leaves have been reduced to 5 on each side for starters. I bought a set of 16 inch 8 stud x 6.5 inch wheels plus tires from a 197_? Ford. The front wheels require a 1/2 inch thick aftermarket spacer to provide clearance for the Dodge brake calipers. The fat front fenders offer plenty of clearance for the 16 inch tire and wheel assemblies. More to follow as this project moves forward.
