New Superduty Bed

New Superduty Bed
Hello All, I've been AWOL for awhile.
I had a left rear tire blowout on Hwy 199 between Grants Pass and Brookings Or.
The tread seperated and beat up the bed, inner bed and skin. The appraisal was $4500 and change. The repairs were to take 10 days to two week after parts arrive. Yesterday, Sunday I was checking out Craigs List and ran across this:
2013 Ford Bed F250 LONG NEW TAKEOFF. I called and made an appointment for 10:00 AM this morning. The price was $1150 for the bed and $150 to swap out my old bed. I didn't want the tailgate as I use a louvered 5th wheel tailgate and still have the original. They deducted $300 so I got the bed for $850 plus $150 labor. Two hours for the swap and I was on my way to get Extreme Spray Liner. I was home by 3:00 PM with a new bed for just under $1400. George, the owner
said these are takeoff beds from a utility bed installing company and he has a steady supply.
