need help

hey guys been awhile since I was on here last . question where the wiring harness passes under the starter solenoid there is a red wire coming out of the harness it has a fuse holder in it sorry I forgot to say its on my 69 f100 6cyl it was so brittle it broke in my hands and I lost the fuse from it does anyone know what it is for sorry cant post a pic I have a new fuse holder that I can splice in just need to know what amp the fuse is thanks in advance for any help

Can you tell us what gauge wire it is or what is on the circuit?

If it was factory wiring, it was probably the fuse for the ammeter a.k.a. AMP gauge. That fuse is a tiny 4 or 5 amp fuse.

There are two fuses for the AMP gauge. The other fuse is inline in a yellow wire and is also located in that area of the engine compartment.
