I just purchased a 97 f350 srw. When I was replacing a wheel cylinder I needed to remove the parking brake lever. The threads on the 7/16 lock nut behind the backing plate stripped and it just spun and would not come off. In an act of anger and frustration I cut of the flat head of the bolt on the outboard side. I cannot find that part ANYWHERE. Does anyone know what the proper name for that part is or a part number for it and where I can find one?
Disc Brake Caliper Bracket Mounting BoltPart Number: 2027 for your year/model truck.
Gonna be a "Ford" thing auto parts stores be a waste of time.
Other option be a grade 8 bolt in fine thread from a hardware store.
Bolt from Ford is 6.25 so I'd get one of them, no reason not to unless part is obsolete. Doubt it would be worst case have to order one in, just a bolt not like a part that is replaced often and or if at all.
