My warranty is up and as with most trucks that's when the service engine soon light comes on!!
Does anyone have any suggestions on the self test before forking over the 120 bucks to the dealer for the diagnosis.
My first thought was the O2 sensors. They are the same part # for both and it's only 48bucks to give it a try. However I do not know how to reset the computer after changing the O2 sensor out to clear the check engine light, Does anyone know how??
On my old truck I could disconnect the battery and engage the key to clear the computer. Will that work on a SD?

Disconnecting the battery will work, but I think you need to leave it disconnected or several minutes.
I always go down to AutoZone, and they clear the code with the computer for free..
