It's not supposed to drop to idle too quick, that's a anti-dashpot function of the IAC but it maybe be commanded by the PCM. Like someone suggested, clean your IAC and it wouldn't hurt to clean your throttle body too.
What and where is IAC and a throttle position sensor??? Can the average "joe" clean, check and repair these problems?... If so, what do I do??? Thanks guys for the prompt reply???

Your Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) allows a certain amount of air to bypass the closed throttle position in order to maintain proper idle speed. It is controlled by the PCM.
Ok, so if I understand this, the IAC can make the idle remain high while at a stop... Most of the compliants where nosie... How do I check the IAC??? Thanks
